The EZB provides unified access to all professional and scientific online journals that the MZK has full-text access to. Thus, 58,537 subscription titles and another 54,674 free titles are available to MZK readers.
EZB does not allow full-text searches from the entire database of available journals. If you need to search for articles from a wider set of journals (using the so-called advanced search), use the appropriate search interfaces of licensed online databases.
Journal categories in EZB
Electronic journals are divided - and graphically differentiated - into 3 categories in the EZB according to the availability of full texts:
- Free Access Journals
- accessible within the MZK (subscription magazines)
- inaccessible sources or volumes (journal contents or article abstracts may be accessible)
Timing of availability of full texts
The time span of full-text accessible volumes varies from journal to journal. This can be found by clicking on the icon with the yellow circle in the middle, located to the left of the title of each title. For online journals, the most recent issues (or several issues over a certain period) are usually not available in full text!
EZB journal search and navigation
- When you enter EZB, you can choose the English or German language version on the top right
- Individual titles can be searched in EZB:
- by title / alphabetisch
- start the search by selecting the relevant subject (by subject / nach Fächern)
- EZB also offers the possibility of a more detailed and possibly multi-tab search (Search / suchen)
- Clicking on the title of a journal will display the web page of the specific title - here you can search for individual volumes and issues of the selected journal

- Preferences / Einstellungenallows you to select the EZB of another library (licensed journals of other institutions are not available to MZK readers in full text!)
- If you are unable to access the full text of a journal title licensed by us, please make sure you are in the EZB of the Moravian Regional Library (the name of our library must be displayed in the top left under the EZB header)

Articles from inaccessible periodicals
You can order articles from journals that are not available in full-text from the MZK - journals marked in red - and are not in our holdings of printed journals through Interlibrary Loan Service.
