The goal of the project is to support education through public libraries, focusing on new digital skills not only for primary and secondary schools but also for the general public. Libraries, due to their openness, trustworthiness, and wide age range of visitors, will be able to provide innovative education while also promoting inclusion, intergenerational dialogue, gender equality, and creativity. The extensive experience of both project partners in library education, it will be possible to create a high-quality educational program and create synergy between libraries and the public. The target group of the project is public librarians, but during the implementation of the educational program, schools from the surrounding area will also be invited to attend the courses in libraries to become familiar with the approach of the trainers working with children and youth.
The program will train librarians on both sides – Czechs and Slovaks, so they can independently implement innovative educational activities, thereby improving education in these areas in the long term.
The educational program will consist of at least four modules focused on current areas of digital education: artificial intelligence and the use of selected AI tools, basics of programming through playful learning tools, 3D modeling, 3D printing, virtual and augmented reality, critical thinking, and information security in the context of synthetic reality, as well as other relevant topics.
