Při práci na dlouhodobém projektu "Frank Gehry: Životní dílo ve výtvarné fotografii" fotograf DAN ALKA nalezl v biografiích Franka Gehryho, rozhovorech s ním, dokumentárních filmech i jinde, zajímavé informace, citace a inspirační zdroje, které přibližují dílo tohoto významného amerického architekta.

Jáchym Sůra doplnil tyto texty sérií  kreseb zobrazujících působivé a klíčové momenty ze života Franka Gehryho. 

Frank Gehry je držitelem prestižní Pritzkerovy ceny za architekturu a je považován za jednoho z nejlepších architektů světa. Jeho stavby jsou uváděny mezi nejvýznamnějšími stavbami současnosti, k nejznámějším patří například Guggenheimovo muzeum v Bilbau, koncertní sál Walta Disneyho v Los Angeles, Nadace Louise Vuittona v Paříži nebo Tančící dům v Praze. Řada Gehryho projektů ovlivnila vnímání architektury v celém světě a ukázala, jak může kvalitní stavba podnítit rozvoj svého okolí. Fenomén nazvaný „Bilbao effect“, tedy hospodářský a kulturní rozkvět celého města, způsobila právě Gehryho stavba Guggenheimova muzea.

While working on the long-term project "Frank Gehry: A Life's Work in Fine Photography", photographer DAN ALKA found interesting information, quotes and inspirational sources in Frank Gehry's biographies, interviews with him, documentary films and elsewhere, which approach the work of this important American architect.

Jáchym Sůra supplemented these texts with a series of drawings depicting impressive and key moments from the life of Frank Gehry.

Frank Gehry is the recipient of the prestigious Pritzker Architecture Prize and is considered one of the best architects in the world. His buildings are listed among the most important buildings of today, the most famous include, for example, the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao, the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles, the Louis Vuitton Foundation in Paris or the Dancing House in Prague. A number of Gehry's projects influenced the perception of architecture around the world and showed how a quality building can stimulate the development of its surroundings. The phenomenon called the "Bilbao effect", i.e. the economic and cultural flourishing of the entire city, was caused precisely by Gehry's construction of the Guggenheim Museum.
